Samuel and Eliza!

These two are my little ones! This last week after Kindergarten, Samuel came home and was watching his little programs and got Eliza and she just laid with him and loved being with her big brother! These two sure have some kind of connection! I think she is normally scared of him because of "brother smother", but he is the only one that can consistantly get her to giggle when he wants!

Kangaroo Zoo

After the big family breakfast and after much discussion... we wanted to take our ANIMALS to the Kangaroo Zoo!

You take a huge room, put up lots of blow up bouncy toys, throw in a group of wound up children, add a few unsuspecting parents, and you have a GREAT time! The boys sure enjoyed it! We went with their cousins Zoe and T.J and everyone had a blast!!!

Even the parents had a fun time going down the huge slide! Eliza managed to sleep through most of the time we were there! That in itself is a miracle because it was really loud with all the kids! We bought a pass so we can go there again (Rainy weather here we come!) and the boys will be worn out and sleep soundly at night!!!

President's Day Breakfast

On President's Day we got together as a Baird Family because the Russ Baird's were in town for breakfast! We used the WONDERFUL griddles that Dan and Jason Smith made! (This sadly is Jason's because all of Dan's are not done yet :( ! ) Thanks to Mom Baird...that supplied the food...we had these divine hashbrowns (6 lb. bag with bacon bits and onions - was still not enough to feed the whole family that was here and there was a few families missing), french toast, bacon, sausage, ice cream, syrup, orange juice, milk, and she even bought CHOCOLATE milk! Boy, does she know how to spoil the grandkids!!! As Baird's we sure know how to make a GREAT breakfast!

Andrew's First Pack Meeting

Andrew was so excited to finally be a cub scout! He earned his Bobcat and was so excited to have his face painted by his daddy!!! He wasn't sure what was more exciting about turning 8 - being baptized or joining Cub Scouts!

Eliza's Blessing

Finally our baby girl was blessed. January 4, 2009. We thought that we would have an eventful weekend and do the baptism and blessing!!! Isn't she just beautiful! The dress was made by her Grandma Lawrence (11 years ago for the pregnancy that ended with Nathan instead of a girl!) Some of the material is my wedding dress and then the blanket that she is on was made by Dan's cousin Marie, with left over wedding dress material. She is just an angel from heaven brought here for us to enjoy for this life! This dress was overflowing and just wonderful. Boy, my mom did a great job!

Andrew's Baptism

Well, I am doing it once again and that is of CATCHING UP!!! I am going to try to do better, but they life happens and I get behind more than before!

This was a wonderful year to start...Andrew gets to have the first birthday of the year!!! and then on January 3, 2009 he was baptized! We were a little rushed in getting from one room to another and so we only got one snapshot of a wonderful event! We wanted to share it with all! We are so proud of his decision and his willingness to share the gospel with all around him. He is trying to reactivate a girl in his class and in our ward and is always thinking about her! Doesn't he just look so grown up?

Life is Hectic

November and December have been HECTIC!!! With this year being so sick, All the Christmas Shopping has to be done now rather than throughout the year!!! YEAH!!! I have to remember what it is like to go shopping with a little one (takes a lot more time with the extra little package! But well worth it!).

Eliza is also growing way to fast! We are enjoying each and every day. There are some days that I don't get much done except for holding her and just watch her (which adds to the hecticness of Christmas shopping). I sure am loving having a little one and adjusting well, not to mention the idea of buying pink and "girly" things!!! The brothers also like keeping her "pretty" and making sure she has something in her hair or just the right "pinky" outfit!
