Life is Hectic

November and December have been HECTIC!!! With this year being so sick, All the Christmas Shopping has to be done now rather than throughout the year!!! YEAH!!! I have to remember what it is like to go shopping with a little one (takes a lot more time with the extra little package! But well worth it!).

Eliza is also growing way to fast! We are enjoying each and every day. There are some days that I don't get much done except for holding her and just watch her (which adds to the hecticness of Christmas shopping). I sure am loving having a little one and adjusting well, not to mention the idea of buying pink and "girly" things!!! The brothers also like keeping her "pretty" and making sure she has something in her hair or just the right "pinky" outfit!

Halloween costumes

Here are our boys in their costumes. They all had a great Halloween. I Figured that all together they collected 12-15 pound of candy. What are we going to do with so much sugar. Nathan is the gangster, Andrew is the Ninja, and Samuel and Dad are the Pirates

Happy Halloween

Here are our pumpkins. The boys did a great job this year.
Nathan did the Wolf, Andrew did Yoda from StarWars, Samuel did a Vampire

Happy Halloween

We are carving our pumkins for this years contest. Julies parents have a contest for the grandkids every year. Gone are the days of simple carving. We now have to do impossible to carve patterns that now take more than just one family night. One of the rules is that the boys have to carve it themselves, so with as little help as possible our boys carved these, (a few times Julie came to the rescue to reconnect a spot where a cut was made in error.)

Congratulations Nathan

Nathan is excited that he finally got his Webelos badge and the Arrow of light and his Faith in God award. He also got some other cub scout awards. This is the last Pack meeting Nathan will go to, he will now attend courts of honor with the boy scouts. He can now start working for his eagle (in November).

She is a happy baby. She makes us happy too!!

First Time in Hammock with Eliza

One tradition in our family is that Daddy gets to enjoy a Sunday Afternoon with the children in the hammock. This is the hammock that Dan got when he was in Brazil on his mission. As you see in the pictures it is a VERY RELAXING Sunday Afternoon!!!

5 days old!

We thought that we would place some more pictures for all to see our wonderful bundle of joy! She has been a wonderful sleeper (maybe too much sleeping) and can't seem to get any time to herself. Samuel hasn't been able to stop kissing and hugging, Andrew just wants to be there, and Nathan wants to hold her all the time and says "She is so tiny." We are enjoying each day to the fullest.

ALSO...Happy Birthday out to Jackie!

Rhatsami not Rhasamie

We are going to change the spelling to Eliza's middle name.

The new spelling is Rhatsami.

We think this will help us and others say the name better.

The name is Thai and has great meaning. There is no direct translation but here are some phrases that Julies mom used to describe the meaning.

"...Somethinging that always gives light, even in the dark...
...like when light shines through a diamonds and is bright and beautiful..
...when the sun comes up in the morning so bright...
...the sun makes a halo in the morning...
...shines like a diamond...
...when so many comes out when the sun comes up...
...like the rocks the brother of Jared put in his boats...
Its just so powerful..."

Ratsami is our ray of sunshine in our lives. We thank our Father in Heaven for sending her to us, so healthy and bright. Even though this has been such a hard pregnancy for Julie we now have a most precious gift from Him. He thank Him for all he has blessed our family with. We are greatful for all your love and support you have always shown us. Our hearts are full and overflowing with your love and kindness, something I think we can never repay.

We love you all

Julie, Dan, Nathan, Andrew, Samuel and our little ray of light, Eliza
